One of the MOST ANTICIPATED films in history, is FLAWED.

First, an OUTSTANDING performance by Josh Lawson as Kano – one of the best portrayals of a video game character, a couple levels UP from Trevor Goddard ( Kano in the 1995 klassic film (the best one) )

This sells the film, brings the laughs and is just how you have your performer be the character. Other beloved characters, Sonya, Jax, Lui Kang, Raiden, Kung Lao, Scorpion, Sub zero, Shang Tsung, Kabal, Mileena are played well, look great and fill their parts and kick ass.

There’s lots of blood and gore, just like the games and it’s EXCELLENT.

The bad, COEL YOUNG, Reiko (wasted, useless, misscast. Nathan Jones should be Shao Kahn), Goro ( though has an awesome moment, yet who he verses ISN’T worthy of the spotlight) Nitara ( has 1 of the best moments but other than that, useless)

The vision is there and potential for improvement with another film, there needs to be more solid writing, better background with the characters and IT ISN’T HARD TO MAKE A FILM ABOUT A GAME, the original did it best, just lacked the gore.

So, may they do better with another. See MORTAL KOMBAT for the blood, gore, fatalities, fights and KANO.
