Uzziel – This Fear (2019)

Uzziel, founded in 2010, released in the month “This Fear” in which influences appear hard rock and melodic thrash mixed in a massive sound, a very personal style of thrash metal.

Uzziel can already look back on several releases. The first demo “Broken” was released in 2011, followed by a video for the song “Captured by emptiness” and was crowned with the worldwide release of the first album “Torn Apart” in 2014.
Opening this album, we found the intro “Beyond The Funfair”  followed by the raging “Acid Rain” in which typical thrash guitar is balanced with melodic solo, a thunderstorm between rhythm section and heavy mood. Same fury for the following “Dark Moments” just another kick and the highlight of this work that’s show a brilliant and energetic band who remind the old thrash schools with the right dose of modern elements  and not only.
If I consider “Dark Moments” a highlight of “This Fear”, with the title track we can find a gem, right clean vocals and good  chorus, this piece really worth.

“Dead And Evolution” is another brilliant piece, to be listened to at a well sustained volume to taste it at its best, yet fury and energy for this Australian band, just like the following “Demantia”, more gloomy and melodic but at the same way pretty heavy.

Good the last piece as well, “Your Death” and “On My Own”.
“This Fear” is the right successor of the previous “Torn Apart”, intense, brutal and dark, with a heavy rock imprint.

With uncompromising, the band manage to captivate people with aggression and dark energy, Uzziel has already gained a broad fan base.

A note regarding the band’ name: according to the Torah, Uzziel (Hebrew: עוּזִיאֵל, ʿÛzîʾēl, meaning El is my strength or God is my strength[1]) was the father of Mishael, Elzaphan, and Zithri, and was a son of Kohath and grandson of Levi[2], consequently being the brother of Amram and uncle of Aaron, Miriam, and Moses..
