Everyone assumed Sasha and Marcus would wind up together except for Sasha and Marcus. Reconnecting after 15 years, the two start to wonder – maybe?
Always be my maybe was released earlier this year (2019) and recently came to Netflix so I thought I would check it out.
After the successful Sasha has to move back to her childhood town after a break up, and to open a new business, she meets up with her awkward childhood sweetheart Marcus. There is still a spark however they are from completely different worlds.
There is a cameo from Keanu Reeves which is quite hilarious.
Honorable mention about the soundtrack too, with featured tacks such as Sail by Awolnation and Shine by Collective Soul.
Always be my Maybe isn’t funny the whole way through, however it doesn’t need to be. The story itself is relatable (not in the everyone knows celebrities part obviously).
It was a good film, not a stand out but certainly wasn’t boring either.
